MEDIA BLASTING / INDUSTRIAL PAINTER

We are looking to hire experienced media blasters and industrial painters to work in our new blasting plant in Circleville, Ohio.

  General Duties:

  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to maneuver weldments/products into the module spray booth and onto module handling equipment.

  • Abrades surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale and dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive-blasting equipment: Shovels or pours abrasives, such as glass bead sand, grit, shot or other specified blast media of specified grade into machine hopper or reclaim systems.

  • Masks specified areas of object to protect from abrading action.

  • Turns valves on equipment to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixture flowing through nozzle or into tumbling barrel.

  • Starts equipment that directs blast or flow of abrasive-laden compressed air, gas, or liquid over surface of parts.

  • Utilize scrapers, grinders and hand tools to remove paint and prepare unsuitable areas for finishing.

  • Use mil thickness gauges and profile gauges to measure dry film thickness and must record those readings on established charts.

  • Visually inspect the weldments for excessive sagging. Runs, imbedded shot and foreign matter, light spots, ripples and other deficiencies that must be repaired. They must then repair these in accordance with accepted practices and procedures.

  • Maintain the booth periodically by cleaning it, removing and replacing grating and scraping and recovering lights.

  • Sweep the area of assignment daily and maintain an orderly and safe work area.

  • Maintain set quality standards by use of visual checking and inspection equipment.

  • Wears the proper PPE and ensures the proper care, storage and usage.

  • During a given day the individual may work in any or all these areas.

  • Must have knowledge of metals, abrasive blasting, industrial coatings and basic math. The individual must be able to read and write and properly perform duties related to required paperwork. They also must be able to use or be capable of learning to use a computer to access blueprints, procedures and other job duty related information and communication.

  • Utilize airless and conventional painting systems to apply a uniform coat with a variety of industrial coatings to obtain the required coverage and dry film thickness as specified.

  • Operate air powered mixing equipment included paddle mixers and shakers

  • Utilize a wet millage gauge to ensure proper wet mil thickness

  • Utilize measuring equipment to maintain proper paint viscosity when mixing 2 part coatings and adding thinner.

We are looking for full-time experienced painting foremen with a supervisory background. We have contracts which allow us to work inside in the winter and outside in the summer.  We are expanding, and need leaders who are looking for new challenges and opportunities.

-    2 years supervisory experience

-    Experience operating an aerial lift

CONCRETE / INDUSTRIAL COATINGS FOREMAN

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Restoration Foreman.  This person will manage and coordinate all activities on job sites to ensure that all concrete activities are completed as scheduled and walked for quality. Supervise crews on a daily basis.

Requirements

-  Experience within the construction and concrete /concrete restoration/protective coatings industry involving power washing, small scale demo, steel decking repair, rebar replacement, shoring, small concrete pours, concrete restoration (Metzger Mcguire Products, Sika Products and 10 Minute Concrete Mender), floor prep, floor coatings (Resins), media blasting, and structural steel protective coatings.

-  Candidate must possess proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications including PDF editors and the Microsoft Office suit, the ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and the project schedule.

-  Be able to travel, most trips are 4-6 days*

 Experience Preferred:

AIC Certification in:

-   Field Concrete Testing                                                            

-  Concrete Flatwork Finishing

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We are looking to hire a dynamic, driven, self-starter who is handy, able to make decisions and a problem solver, but above all, knows and understands quality. We have a contract with a large retailer where we perform service calls for non-mechanical issues in their retail stores and service projects. Our main service areas are Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan We are located in central Ohio and want someone from this area who will then travel for a few days at a time. We will provide all tools, materials, vehicles, gas, lodging, etc. 

  Experience:

-        Experience in commercial flooring is desired; many of the service calls involve flooring issues - concrete repair, replacing VCT and ceramic tile or transition strips.

-        Experience in general facility maintenance, other service calls could be but are not limited to: drywall repair; bathroom stall door replacement; lock replacement; installing cove base; bolting down racking; etc.
