Hear It Straight from the Team!
In this short video, our division supervisor walks through what it’s like to work at FORJAK. In this video, our supervisor explains what you can expect on the job, how our teams work together, and what it takes to succeed here.
Built Differently. Owned Together.
FORJAK Industrial isn't your typical construction and coatings company, and we're not looking for a typical Industrial Handler.
Founded in 2001 in Circleville, Ohio, FORJAK was built on a simple belief: the people doing the work should share in the success. That's why in 2022, we became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. When FORJAK wins, you win — literally.
We live by four values we call FIRE: Family · Integrity · Resilience · ExcellenceFIRE represents the spirit that fuels FORJAK — who we are, how we work, and what we stand for every day.
The Role
The Industrial Handler is part of our Blast Plant Division. You'll be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and preparation of all incoming and outgoing parts through our industrial blasting and coating facility, keeping production flowing efficiently and safely from the moment parts arrive to the moment they leave. You'll do it with the grit and ownership mindset that defines everyone at FORJAK.
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.
What You'll Own
On a given day, as an Industrial Handler, you will:
Handling & Movement
Safely handle parts ranging from 1 lb to 200,000 lbs of various sizes and dimensions, applying proper rigging techniques using slings, straps, and chains at all times.
Operate forklifts, cranes, telehandlers, and tugs to load, unload, and transport parts within and outside the facility safely and efficiently.
Stage and move parts on carts and transport systems throughout the plant to keep production flowing without interruption.
Part Preparation
Power wash and degrease all incoming parts to properly prepare metal components for the blasting process, ensuring surfaces are clean and ready to spec.
Apply masking to parts to protect specific areas from blasting and coating, following project specifications precisely.
Safety & Maintenance
Complete a daily safety checklist, inspecting tools and equipment at the start of each shift to maintain safety and operational standards before production begins.
Enforce strict PPE compliance at all times—goggles, gloves, harnesses, and any other required safety equipment are non-negotiable in this environment.
Adhere to all company safety and work policies.
Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.
You must bring:
1–2 years of experience in material handling in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and telehandlers.
Basic knowledge of rigging and safe handling practices for heavy loads.
Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE consistently and correctly.
Physical stamina and strength to handle parts of varying weights throughout an entire shift.
Must meet a weight restriction of 375 lbs or less to ensure compliance with ladder weight capacity and safe access to confined spaces within the blast plant's metal components.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A team-first attitude—ego doesn't build great things; people do.
Even better if you have:
1–2 years of forklift, scissor lift, and crane operation experience.
Basic proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) for reporting and record-keeping.
Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings involving handling, cleaning, or preparing metal components.
Confined space entry training or certification.
How You'll Know You're Winning
Great FORJAK team members don't just complete tasks; they move the needle.
You're winning when:
Parts move safely and efficiently through the plant without delays or damage.
Your daily safety checklist is complete, your equipment is inspected, and your area is clean before production starts.
You're trusted, consistent, and people want to work alongside you.
You're growing in skills, in responsibility, and as a co-owner of this company.
You bring FIRE to everything you do.
