About the Role:
A day in the life: Our Lead Industrial Painter would be motivated and have excellent attention to detail. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising a team of painting technicians while also performing coating applications on metal components using brush, roller, or airless spray methods. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality finishes in an industrial environment.
On a given day, as the Lead Industrial Painter, you will:
Direct and support painting technicians to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality work execution. Set up daily operations and maintain workflow throughout the shifts.
Clean, sand, scrape, and prime metal surfaces to ensure optimal coating adhesion and durability.
Apply various protective coatings—such as enamels, epoxies, sealants, and industrial-grade paints using airless spray rigs, brushes, and rollers.
Maintain and clean spray guns, hoses, brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment to ensure consistent performance and safety.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including proper use of PPE, safe handling of paint, and ventilation practices.
Monitor projects for consistency in application, thickness, and finish. Conduct inspections and touch-ups as necessary.
Communicate with supervisors, other departments, and team members to ensure timely project completion.

Schedule & Travel:
This is a full-time Monday through Friday position. The primary working hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, but flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts is required as needed.

The qualified candidate we seek is a Lead Industrial Painter with these QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ year of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity.
Ability to read and interpret job specifications and technical documents.
Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various height conditions or confined spaces.
Strong work ethic, time management, and attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights when needed
Active and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
