Built Differently. Owned Together.
FORJAK Industrial isn't your typical construction and coatings company, and we're not looking for a typical Fleet & Equipment Mechanic.
Founded in 2001 in Circleville, Ohio, FORJAK was built on a simple belief: the people doing the work should share in the success. That's why in 2022, we became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. When FORJAK wins, you win — literally.
We live by four values we call FIRE: Family · Integrity · Resilience · Excellence
FIRE represents the spirit that fuels FORJAK—who we are, how we work, and what we stand for every day.
The Role
The Fleet & Equipment Mechanic is part of our Facility & Shop team. You'll be responsible for keeping FORJAK's fleet and equipment safe, reliable, and ready. Performing routine maintenance, conducting inspections, and supporting repairs across a wide range of vehicles and tools. You'll do it with the problem-solving mindset and ownership mentality that defines everyone at FORJAK.
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.
What You'll Own
On a given day, as a Fleet & Equipment Mechanic, you will:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, braking systems, washer systems, and filter replacements on a variety of medium-duty and smaller fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
Inspect forklifts and other equipment regularly to verify safe and proper working condition, performing minor repairs or adjustments as needed and escalating major issues to the supervisor promptly.
Execute the red tag process to identify, document, and isolate unsafe or malfunctioning vehicles and equipment, coordinating with the Mechanic Manager to ensure red-tagged items are addressed without delay.
Assist with maintenance and repair on a variety of tools and equipment, and support the outfitting of vehicles with necessary tools and accessories.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date service logs within the Internal Dashboard, ensuring all entries, including parts used, labor hours, and maintenance schedules are complete and current.
Coordinate parts and supply runs as needed to support active maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal downtime for the fleet.
Ensure compliance with all maintenance schedules and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly; proactive communication is expected in this role.
Adhere to all company safety and work policies.
Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.
You must bring:
Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
1–3 years of experience in automotive or equipment maintenance.
Working knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
Proficiency with automotive and maintenance tools, including power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain accurate records using computer applications including Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure.
A team-first attitude—ego doesn't build great things; people do.
Even better if you have:
Ability to perform basic welding, fabrication, and minor repairs.
Basic wiring skills.
Experience working in a fleet or equipment maintenance environment supporting field operations.
How You'll Know You're Winning
Great FORJAK team members don't just complete tasks; they move the needle.
You're winning when:
The fleet is safe, maintained, and ready when the field needs it.
Your service logs are accurate, current, and complete.
Red-tagged items are identified fast and resolved without delay.
You're trusted, consistent, and people want to work alongside you.
You're growing in skills, in responsibility, and as a co-owner of this company.
You bring FIRE to everything you do.
