Built Differently. Owned Together.
FORJAK Industrial isn't your typical construction and coatings company, and we're not looking for a typical Logistics & Prep Technician.
Founded in 2001 in Circleville, Ohio, FORJAK was built on a simple belief: the people doing the work should share in the success. That's why in 2022, we became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. When FORJAK wins, you win literally.
We live by four values we call FIRE:
Family · Integrity · Resilience · Excellence
FIRE represents the spirit that fuels FORJAK - who we are, how we work and what we stand for every day.
The Role
The Logistics & Prep Technician is a critical part of our Prep Department team. You'll be responsible for keeping our field crews equipped and ready to perform, managing the accurate loading and unloading of materials and equipment, maintaining shop organization and inventory integrity, and resolving logistical challenges before they slow anyone down. You'll do it with the grit and ownership mindset that defines everyone at FORJAK.
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.
What You'll Own
On a given day, as an Logistics & Prep Tech, you will:
Execute accurate and efficient loading and unloading of products, tools, and equipment via pallet or by hand across our full fleet of pickups, box trucks, cargo trailers, and semis.
Review daily schedules promptly to allow sufficient time to inspect pallets, configure equipment, complete loading, and submit all required paperwork correctly and on time.
Collaborate with superintendents to verify schedules. As well as align tickets and communicate proactively around delays, discrepancies, or questions involving products, tools, or equipment.
Organize and maintain the shop so that all materials are properly stored, clearly accessible, and easy to retrieve because a clean shop is an efficient shop.
Input and track data accurately in shop spreadsheets to support inventory management and operational records.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and gators, and pull trailers safely and confidently.
Perform light exterior maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal, keeping our facility safe and presentable year-round.
Support leadership with additional duties as business needs evolve.
Adhere to all company safety and work policies.
Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.
You must bring:
Valid driver's license with the ability to operate and pull trailers.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to safely operate basic power tools, including drills and saws.
Comfort working at heights using scissor lifts and ladders.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer proficiency for data entry and schedule review.
Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure.
A team-first attitude ego doesn't build great things; people do.
Even better if you have:
Prior experience in a warehouse, shop, logistics, or field support environment.
Familiarity with construction, coatings, or industrial operations.
How You'll Know You're Winning
Great FORJAK team members don't just complete tasks; they move the needle.
You're winning when:
The field team hits the job site with everything they need on time, every time.
You're trusted, consistent, and people want to work alongside you.
The shop runs cleaner and smarter because of the systems you help maintain.
You bring FIRE to everything you do.
